🔍 A Glimpse into the Past. The history of the building now known as The Hidden Abbey 🔍

⛪️ Our building was once known as Mount Carmel Evangelical United Brethren Church.

Swipe through to journey back in time! From the original white chapel, which once graced our front yard, to the grand sanctuary built in 1961, and then the subsequent “educational wing” in 1962 - which now serves as our luxurious overnight suites and bridal dressing rooms. The dedication service of this architectural marvel, held on Sunday, May 20th, 1962, was a sight to behold, with a sanctuary filled to the brim.

Gratitude to the church for allowing our owner, Amy Beth, to dive deep into their archives. This history was the inspiration of our name, "The Hidden Abbey" - an ode to the building`s original purpose and its storied past.

Preserving history, while crafting new stories.✨
